Five Forecast Launches and NC Election Data
After redistricting in NC, our GIS team calculated the previous election results by LD in 2022.
Hey y’all, sorry it’s been a minute since I’ve posted to the Substack. I’ve been very busy with my final semester here at Virginia Tech.
Today I’m adding NC data to the paid subscriber state legislative data access Google Sheet, which has our team’s calculations for how each state legislative district voted in the 2022 state legislative elections. No other election data team (other than probably those working for state parties) has this data but us! I’ll add more data our GIS team has crunched when I can, the next 50ish days are a slog for me as I work on school and work-related projects.
We’ve also launched state legislative forecasts in Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Georgia, and Iowa! We’re still working on forecasts in New Mexico, Nebraska, Montana, Idaho, Maine, and Colorado, whether it be entering in candidacy filings (or trying to locate partisan affiliations in the case of Nebraska), data crunching, or forecast page design, these forecasts will be out over the next couple of weeks. We’re also about to start work on forecasts in Missouri and South Dakota, which have their candidacy filing deadlines tomorrow.
Thank you to the paid subscribers for supporting our work as always! Talk soon,
Chaz
