Hey y’all!
In just almost two months, CNalysis will have launched four years ago. It’s pretty hard to believe how fast these four years have flown and how much we’ve grown, and I’m so glad y’all’ve come along for the ride.
As I said in the video that came to your inboxes, December, January and February are the times of year when we reflect on the last election results and work on things privately to prepare for each anniversary. We like to try and bring something new and exciting to the table.
In 2021, on the first anniversary of the launch of CNalysis, we debuted our new website look built on WordPress with Divi, migrating from SquareSpace. We also launched the first version of Bang for Your Buck for the 2021 Virginia House of Delegates elections, the Make Your Own Forecast tool, the CNalysis Podcast, and a CNalysis Store (which is no longer in operation unfortunately).
In 2022, on the second anniversary of the launch of CNalysis, we launched our services kit, where people can buy ads on CNalysis and maps from our GIS team and Jack.
In 2023, on the third anniversary of the launch of CNalysis, we debuted our first forecasts for the 2023 Virginia and New Jersey state legislative elections, with a revamped forecast page.
In 2024, we’re going big. We are hiring the team behind Mary Peltola and Alaska Democrats’ fantastic campaign and website design, WhichSide Digital. We had our first call on the CNalysis redesign today and I’ll be handing them the keys early next week for WordPress. We’ll be launching the new website look for CNalysis on March 1st, on our fourth anniversary.
If you want to help us pay for the redesign, you can chip in to our redesign funds here:
That’s not all though: we’ll be launching the fourth version of the Bang for Your Buck by Jackson Martin on our fourth anniversary as well, helping paid subscribers figure out where the best places are for them to invest their money.
We also have a very special revamp for the 2024 forecast page, with what is perhaps our biggest addition to the CNalysis forecasts as well. Paid subscribers will be able to access previews of those forecasts over the next two months. Here’s our first preview for Texas, with details on what the addition is:
